Overall Job Scope

The role sits as part of the solution design team as the subject matter expert for Epsilon’s Voice portfolio. Whilst this role is technical sales solution design, there will be close collaboration with the core voice business team to ensure alignment with strategic goals of the voice Business Unit and you will have a dotted line into the Director, Voice BU to ensure close collaboration with the team.

This role is to support business development of the Epsilon’s voice business unit, by providing technical expertise and delivering value for clients by identifying how best our capabilities can address client challenges leveraging Epsilon’s global network and carrier interconnects with automation driven by our Infiny software platform.

Ultimately this is an opportunity to identify both existing capabilities within Epsilon network to address customer challenges as well as inform and drive development opportunities to optimise growth.

Accountabilities

  • Support sales growth by meeting with customers to advise on Epsilon capabilities and information gathering
  • Clarification and documentation of standard voice solution capabilities
  • Documenting market and customer focused input for prioritising development roadmap
  • Work with Operations to be aware of and ensure customer satisfaction is achieved via good service from delivery to ongoing management
  • Support other customer facing colleagues to develop business opportunities as the technical sales voice lead including delivery of technical client Demos
  • Producing detailed solution diagrams, high-level design documentation and supporting Proof of Concept implementations
  • Ensure timely, appropriate and structured escalation of matters that impact on customer satisfaction, solution development or opportunity development/business wins
  • Complex solution low level design post sales as required for smooth transition into delivery.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Good technical understanding of carrier voice networks ideally including SS7 and SIP
  • Able to understand customer requirements and communicate technical impact of complex bids and proposals
  • Good writing and communication skills to clarify deliverables for desired solutions
  • Experience of solution design for international voice services
  • Direct and indirect sales experience
  • Voice services and data network knowledge including SDN, ISUP, RTP
  • Cloud hosted communications solution development experience desirable
  • Commercial awareness to help ensure delivering with margin to support growth
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of SIGTRAN or TDM/PRI-SIP conversion products helpful
  • Good knowledge of SBC functionality in the carrier arena
  • Experience in how inbound numbering plans work
  • Useful to have experience in SMS technologies
  • Overview knowledge of CDR processing
  • Overview knowledge of LCR functionality
