MEF Carrier Ethernet 2.0 certification confirms Epsilon’s ability to deliver ubiquitous, standardised, carrier-class Ethernet via its on demand model

Singapore, 14 December 2016 – Epsilon, a privately owned global communications service provider, achieved MEF Carrier Ethernet (CE) 2.0 certification for its point-to-point Ethernet services that are available on demand. CE 2.0 certification confirms that Epsilon is able to deliver carrier-class Ethernet with standardised interconnection, manageability and multiple classes of service.

Epsilon’s Ethernet services are supported by a hyper-scalable next generation terabit optical global backbone network, which incorporates its own unique on demand networking technology. Users benefit from web-based click-to-connect procurement to global destinations and are able to rapidly scale up or down services with true agility.

On demand Ethernet is the foundation for connecting the cloud and offering our customers unique flexibility and agility. CE 2.0 certification further solidifies our position in the Carrier Ethernet market and demonstrates our commitment to innovating while also ensuring interoperability. We have been able to combine carrier-class Ethernet with an on demand model that gives customer’s rapid access to high performance networking.

On demand Ethernet is fundamental to Epsilon’s Cloud Link Exchange (CloudLX) cloud connectivity platform. CloudLX enables service providers to rapidly connect their customers to world leading Cloud Service Providers like Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform from a web-based portal. It eliminates the complexity of procuring, managing, maintaining and operating network infrastructure with on demand Ethernet connectivity.

From a technology and services perspective we are trying to push Ethernet into new places while ensuring the design, quality and performance of our Carrier Ethernet services. We see Ethernet as the foundation for new models of service delivery like our web portal and API based applications. MEF certification confirms our place in the market and supports our vision for fast, agile and innovative Ethernet services.
