Overall Job Scope

The Product Manager, IP & Access is a critical role in the business and is part of the Product team, reporting into the Director of Business Development. The individual is responsible for managing the life-cycle of Epsilon’s IP products (including Layer 3 VPN) and Access (Last Mile).

The Product Manager is the end-to-end product and success owner whilst focusing on the performance of the products. They are required to take control of the products in a competitive marketplace and drive success through business management whilst closely collaborating with the Epsilon community, specifically Engineering, Solutions, Sales, Finance, Customer Service and Marketing.

Specifically, the Product Manager is the leader and a collaborator, bringing together the community that enables the products and their success to deliver and drive the achievement of the products goals and objectives, including growing Epsilon’s presence, market share, revenue, and profit targets across the market.

They have the ability to effectively consolidate both their own requirements and those of multiple stakeholder groups to define and drive product evolution and improvement plans to drive future success.

The Product Manager is also be experienced in and welcomes the opportunity to build technical and business partnerships / alliances that enhance the market-relevance, performance and profitability of the products.

The Product Manager defines a plan to build, launch and manage to success an Epsilon Layer 3 IP-VPN product as well as any other IP products as required. They liaise with other products and are responsible for the strategy, definition of requirements, translation of requirements into functional and technical specifications for internal/external stakeholders including the product community and drive the Product development / Management from start to finish.

The Product Manager defines and advances the Epsilon access strategy through partnership and automation and positions Epsilon as a disruptor in telecom services ordering, procurement, and management via Epsilon Orchestrators and Infiny platform. They are responsible to strategize, define requirements, translate requirements into functional and technical specifications and then drive the development life cycle from start to finish. They work with a diverse set of internal and external partners, building and maintaining relationships as well as helping to define the product roadmap.

They are an analytical marketer with a strong sense for methods to align product offerings to customer’s pain points, which consistently adjust based on market conditions and feedback from customers. They are strong in execution of the development of marketing materials, including sales collateral, case studies, training, and external blog posts.

Accountabilities

  • Define a product strategy and roadmap for IP & Access products for all customer segments in partnership with key stakeholders both internally and externally on global scale.
  • Lead the Product community to set and achieve product and project goals and objectives and manage achievement against those objectives using the Epsilon Customer Engagement Framework

For IP

  • Develop and productise a Layer 3 IP-VPN offer.
  • Develop a Go-To-Market plan and launch – both internally and externally.
  • Ensure all support and training materials are created and delivered.
  • Set goals and objectives and create the ability to track them
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in Layer 2 switching and Layer 3 routing technologies and protocols including TCP/IP ,OSPF, BGP/MP-BGP, IS-IS, MPLS and RSVP etc.
  • Hands-on experience working and knowledge in security and Juniper/Fortinet firewall.
  • Experience working with automation technology (Puppet/Ansible) is an advantage

Generally

  • Oversee the partnership activities and relationship through the partnership lifecycle management, including conduct regular business reviews for improvement on the process.
  • Provide analytics based on existing product structure, financial performance and propose future underlay product strategy based on market assessment.
  • Act as the single point of contact and decision maker for the IP & Access products in terms of technical and commercial assessment, on-boarding, upgrades, changes, and termination.
  • Work closely with IS team on automation development to provide end to end service experience together with other products.
  • Lead and Interlock with Marketing, Solutions, other Product Managers and Sales to ensure market and customer requirements are considered and included in strategy and roadmap

Requirements

  • 5 years’ experience in product management or related functions
  • Experience in the field of IP products, particularly IP-VPN
  • Strong bias for data-driven decision-making and experience in distilling complex, analytically dense products into client-facing solutions
  • Ability to create compelling sales collateral and marketing materials according to verticals
  • Project management experience or capability focused on planning and completing product projects with a fanatical attention to detail
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a matrixed organization
  • Communication skills and clear customer focus
  • Quick decision-making abilities demonstrating bias for action under tight timing and pressure
