IP Provisioning Engineer (Bulgaria)

Overall Job Purpose

IP Provisioning engineer is responsible for provisioning/de-provisioning Ethernet, MPLS, IP, SDWAN and Cloud network related services on Epsilon platforms. Assisting field/remote engineers on tasks for service completion on time and with requested quality. Assist and support Epsilon global customers with service activations and migrations. Supports technical sales team on network capacity requests (Capacity Check approvals). Have in-depth knowledge and understanding of the Epsilon network and provided services and assist other important network functions.

Key Responsibilities

1) Manage provisioning tasks

  • Complete all assigned provisioning/de-provisioning tasks within OLA

  • Ensure provisioning process is followed accordingly by using the best network routes available

  • Update provisioning systems, records and network diagrams

  • Activate and migrate global customer services as per Customer Project Management requests

  • Assign provisioning tasks based on internal processes and rules

  • Collaborate with global provisioning team and cover orders in all regions – APAC/EMEA/America

  • Escalate issues affecting effective service provisioning

2) Support

  • Request and provide assistance to Field Teams and DC Remote engineers on patching tasks

  • Train & knowledge transfer on technologies, process and platforms

  • Support internal teams (Customer Project Management, Network Engineering, Tech Sales, Field) on provisioning and network-related request

  • Support out of hours migration requests

3) Capacity management  

  • Management of existing network capacity  

  • Review and Approve capacity check requests as per the OLA

  • Support Tech Sales, Products and Engineering on network efficiency programmes

4) Process and Communication

  • Liaise with internal (Customer Project Management, Tech Sales, Network Engineering, Field Engineering) and external (Customer engineering, 3rd party vendors)

  • Maintaining effective communication and respond to queries

  • Provide inputs to improve existing process

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science or other Computer Networking related field

  • 4+ years’ experience as network provisioning engineer, network support engineer or network architect on various network technologies in complex global service provider network

  • Very good understanding of network technologies – Ethernet, MPSL, IP – related services based on MEF standards

  • Good understanding of network design methodologies and protocols used by service providers

  • Good understanding of network cloud technologies and cloud providers (AWS, MS Azure, AliBaba, Google Cloud, etc)

  • Knowledge of Network Testing Standards and Network Monitoring Tools

  • Experience with multi-vendor network platforms – Juniper, Nokia

  • Cisco CCNP, MEF CECP, JNCIA certificate would be considered as a strong advantage

  • SD-WAN product knowledge and experience would be considered as a strong advantage

  • Troubleshooting skills on various network technologies

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to assimilate, analyse and correlate data from various network monitoring system, application, and security devices, logs, and alerts

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with ability to influence and inspire
